Lisa has been teaching music for over 30 years. She has taught professionally in the public school, private school, colleges, and online. Lisa holds a bachelors degree in music education from Western Michigan University, and masters degree in psychology from Kaplan University.
Lisa is a strong believer that everyone should be able to have a life of music. That's why she became a teacher. Whether you're a just a beginner or an advanced student needing guidance, let's explore music together!
Additionally, Lisa a mom to a 10 year old boy and a step mom to two boys ages 15 and 20. She is blessed with a loving husband. They are building their lives together on a small farm in Texas with goats, chickens, cows, dogs and cats. Lisa also homeschools her youngest son and it is a joy every day to see him grow in his education and faith.
Kayla is a passionate musician and composer who’s played piano for twelve years and violin for nine years while now studying Geology at Texas A&M University. She chaired in the TMEA Regional Orchestra each of the six times she auditioned and led the 2nd Violin section of her high school’s Chamber Orchestra. Additionally, she has earned various Best Overall and Merit awards at state level for string and full orchestral and piano pieces she has written in the PTA Reflections competition all four years she participated. Kayla has always enjoyed teaching piano and violin to all ages. She started teaching six years ago in 2018, ensuring that all of her students gathered a strong understanding of basic music theory to pair with their growing skills in their particular instrument. Kayla is careful to cater to each of her student’s individual needs to foster a warm learning environment and ensure that they can connect to their instrument fully while truly enjoying playing music.
Grace is from Midland, TX and has been a percussionist for 8 years. She is currently studying music performance and technology at Texas A&M University where she also plays in the TAMU Symphonic Winds, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and Hullabaloo Pep Band. Grace also plays other instruments such as bass guitar and piano. She is currently working on finding ways to innovate percussion and music through the realms of music theory, technology, recording, and production with TAMU Music Club and The College of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts. Grace has also worked as a percussion tech at A&M Consolidated HS where she has taught private lessons to high school students and guided them through marching band and winter percussion seasons. She wants to help young students develop a love for music and find their own ways to be creative, knowledgeable, and excited for any musical encounters they may face!
Anthony brings over 15 years of piano experience to his teaching, with a rich musical background that spans classical training, jazz, and contemporary styles. He has worked with bands and served on a worship team for a large church in Colorado. Growing up in a military family has allowed Anthony to study under instructors from all around the world, providing a deep understanding and appreciation for music.
Currently, Anthony is an industrial engineering major at Texas A&M University and a cadet in AFROTC detachment 805, where he will commission into the Air Force upon graduation. With three years of teaching experience, Anthony is passionate about helping students of all ages master the technical aspects of piano, as well as develop a genuine love for it.
Emma is a senior public health major at Texas A&M University, with a remarkable 11 years of experience playing the viola and additional proficiency in the violin. Emma’s musical journey is marked by significant achievements, including five years with the Quad City Youth String Ensembles, two-time selection for the Iowa All State Orchestra, and participation in the TMEA region orchestra. In high school, she played with the Saint Ambrose University community ensemble and served as concertmaster in a musical production. Her teaching experience includes working with middle school students, and she is currently an active member of the Texas A&M University Chamber Orchestra.
Emma is committed to creating a personalized and nurturing learning environment, focusing on developing each student’s unique methods and relationships. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the balance between musicianship, passion, and technical skill development. Emma aims to inspire and guide her students toward both personal growth and musical excellence, reflecting her dedication to both her craft and her students’ success.
Jiwoo is a sophomore Biomedical Sciences major at Texas A&M University and has been playing the violin for 15 years. She is a passionate and dedicated violinist who provides personalized lessons that cater to each student's unique needs and goals. She was the concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra and was awarded the highest score possible from the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest where she performed as the 1st violinist. She has played in multiple concerts as a soloist in the past and is now the 1st violinist in the Texas A&M Chamber Orchestra. She has had masterclasses with violinists who graduated from Julliard and Houston Symphony Orchestra. Whether working with beginners or more advanced students, Jiwoo is committed to fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Ye In Lee is a dedicated vocalist based in College Station, TX, known for her empathetic and adaptive nature, which makes her an excellent choir member. Her musical journey began in elementary school, and she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music from Yonsei University, Seoul.
Ye In discovered her true soprano voice during her studies, allowing her to master both lyric soprano and mezzo sounds. From May 2017 to March 2019, she was a member of the Municipal Choir in the Gwacheon City Art Troupe in Korea, collaborating on harmonious performances.
As a soloist, Ye In performed in large churches and played piano at her father's church. During mission trips to Sri Lanka, India, and China, she performed and taught music, including how to read music.
In addition to singing, Ye In has experience teaching beginner piano and children's song classes, inspiring and guiding young musicians. Fluent in Korean and professionally proficient in English, she approaches her musical endeavors with passion and joy, making her a valuable addition to any music academy as a singing and piano teacher.
Sasha Ostrovsky is an Astrophysics major at Texas A&M University and a cellist of the Brazos Civic Orchestra, as well as the Texas A&M University Chamber Orchestra. He has been playing cello for over 9 years, of which the more recent years under the tutelage of Andrew Nguyen. Between 2021 and 2023 he made both TMEA region orchestras and was a semi-finalist and finalist in the CSHS Solo Competitions in 2022 and 2023, respectively. His most recent achievement was performing the Elgar Cello Concerto with the Brazos Civic Orchestra in spring of 2024.
Annabelle is a junior interdisciplinary engineer at Texas A&M University, and she has been a musician for more than 11 years! Starting with piano at the age of 7, Annabelle has also been playing guitar since 11 years old, making music a huge of her life. She enjoys and listens to a wide variety of music on a daily basis, including everything from the classics to jazz to rock and roll and k-pop. She says that her goal is to help her students improve their skills while learning to enjoy everything about music as a whole. Overall, she hopes that all of her students enjoy the feeling of having music in their lives and watching themselves grow throughout all of their lessons!
