Flute Lessons

Our flute instructors teach classical and jazz styles. Beginners work on tone quality, embouchure, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite song. We employ a variety of clarinet method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring smartphones or CDs to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.

What will I learn from flute lessons at the Academy?
Beginner flute students can expect to work on notes, embouchure, care of the instrument and, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Our instructors balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson presents a new technical challenges or theory concept, and ends with something fun, such as your favorite song. We use a variety of flute method books, and encourage students to bring their smartphone or CDs to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.

Do I need to purchase a flute to learn the instrument?
You will need a flute. There are a variety of flute options and we can help recommend one for your needs.

PRICING

$35.00 / 30 minutes per week. 

Lessons are available six days a week, and scheduled once a week. 

**A one-time registration fee is $25.**
